Andrea Belag’s paintings and works on paper have been widely exhibited and collected throughout the US and internationally, in venues that include The Jewish Museum (NY), Pera Museum (Turkey), Mead Museum (MA), Newark Museum (NJ), New Jersey State Museum, Sprengel Museum (Germany), and Jeddah Collection (US Embassy, Saudi Arabia). Recent exhibitions include Philip Slein Gallery (solo, IL), Fortnight Institute (NY), Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects (NY), Cuevas Tilleard (NY), Steven Kasher Gallery (NY), Edward Thorp Gallery (NY), and DCKT Contemporary. Belag has been the recipient of various honors and fellowships including the Guggenheim Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation at Bellagio, National Endowment for the Arts, Yaddo Foundation, and NJ State Council on the Arts. She has just completed a commission for the MTA Arts & Design.
The artist lives and works in New York City and Far Rockaway, Queens. She was educated at the New York Studio of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture and is currently a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts.
