- Cotter Luppi: Untitled, 2015, Colored pencil on 300 Arches paper, 22.25 x 19 in, 56 x 48 cm
Mind to eye and hand to paper, the simplicity, immediacy, and economy of drawing provides me with an open field.
Presently, a figurative element is becoming more prominent in my images. Each piece has its own idiosyncratic concerns that get worked out through visual “riffing,” if you will.
Musicality, absurdity, and the vibrational intensity of encountering a human face are all elements I hope to get into these works.
