Albrecht Gallery is proud to present the first exhibition by the italien artist Francesco Pedrini in Berlin: “I heard the sounds of the sky”.
“The comparison with the sky is my field. I like to think of art as an exercise in amplification.With powders, I draw celestial objects that are made of dust and wind. I build tools to listen to the sky, they are protheses to stretch towards infinity, objects that receive the invisible”. (Francesco Pedrini, 2017)
Francesco Pedrini (*1973 Bergamo) lives in Bergamo. He lectures Drawing at the Accademia di Belle Arti G. Carrara, Bergamo. Among others he has had One-Person-Shows at the Facultad de Derecho, University of Buenos Aires (2012), at the Italian Institute, Tirana (2012) and at Tica – Tirana Institute of Contemporary Arts (2008). His work has been part of the Biennale del Disegno, Rimini (2014), the Biennale di Venezia, Arsenale Nuovo (2011) and has been shown at the MGSÜ Tophane Culture Center, Istanbul (2010). The drawings are made with polvered graphite and pigment polver.

Die Galerie Albrecht freut sich, die erste Ausstellung des italienischen Künstler Francesco Pedrini in Berlin ankündigen zu können: “I heard the sounds of the sky”.
“Die Konfrontation mit dem Himmel ist mein Spannungsfeld. Mir gefällt der Gedanke an Kunst als eine Übung zur Grenzüberschreitung. Ich zeichne mit Pulver Himmelserscheinungen bestehend aus Wind und Staub. Ich baue Instrumente, die den Himmel hören können. Es sind Prothesen, um das Unendliche zu erreichen, Objekte, die das Unsichtbare empfangen”. (Francesco Pedrini, 2017)
Francesco Pedrini (*1973 Bergamo) lebt in Bergamo. Er ist Dozent für Zeichnung an der Accademia di Belle Arti “G. Carrara”, Bergamo. Unter anderen hatte er Einzelausstellungen in der Facultad de Derecho der Universität von Buenos Aires (2012), im Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Tirana, Albanien (2012) und im Tica – Tirana Institute of Contemporary Art (2008). Seine Arbeiten wurden auf der Biennale del Disegno Rimini (2014), der Biennale Venedig, Arsenale Nuovo (2011) und im MGSÜ, dem Tophane Culture Center, Istanbul (2010) gezeigt. Er zeichnet mit Graphit- und Pigmentpulver auf Papier.
