Monya Rowe Gallery is pleased to present, “Something Lush and Hot, Drippy”, a summer exhibition of paintings and works on paper, featuring Heidi Hahn, Vera Iliatova, Haley Josephs and Alina Perez.
Heidi Hahn (b. 1982, Los Angeles, CA) received a MFA from Yale University, CT and a BFA from Cooper Union, NY. She has been awarded residencies at Skowhegan School of Art, ME; Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown, MA and the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA. Recent exhibitions include Jack Hanley Gallery, NY; 1969, NY; and Anton Kern Gallery, NY. Hahn lives and works in Alfred, NY.
Vera Iliatova (b. 1975, St. Petersburg, Russia) received a MFA from Yale University, CT and a BA from Brandeis University, MA. She has also undergone studies at Sorbonne University, Paris, France and completed a residency at Skowhegan School of Art, ME. Iliatova has recently exhibited her work at Tibor de Nagy, NY; Inman Gallery, Houston; The Jewish Museum, San Francisco, CA and Monya Rowe Gallery. Iliatova lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Haley Josephs (b. 1987, Seattle, WA) received a MFA from Yale University, CT and a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA. Her work has recently been exhibited at Deli Gallery, Long Island City, NY; Jeff Bailey, Hudson, NY and Gavin Brown’s Enterprise. Josephs lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Alina Perez (b. 1995, Miami, FL) received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Providence, RI and in 2017 completed a residency at Skowhegan School of Art, ME. Recent group exhibitions include Andrew Edlin, NY and Ed Varie, NY. In 2018 Perez was awarded a Fine Arts Work Center, Visual Arts Fellowship, Provincetown, MA and a Vermont Studio Center Fellowship, Johnson, VT. Perez lives and works in Miami, FL.
