Exhibition
in Birsfelden / Switzerland
Curated by Anna Goetz.
During vast field trips across Europe and the US, artist Lena Henke and curator Anna Goetz have followed the tracks of artists who have pursued radical garden and landscape projects. Henke has archived these visions of spatial outdoor arrangements presented since the 16th century.
For her project at SALTS, she is using water to change the interior and exterior architecture of the exhibition space and transform it into a comprehensive sculptural environment. Henke will also present new absurd works that refer to the symbolic of New York’s famous skyline, including rooftop water tanks, and other outdoor iconic elements – some of which still exist, others that are already forgotten or have never existed.
