This workshop takes its inspiration from Louise Bourgeois’s prints. Participants will experiment with mono-printing, block-printing and chine collé to make a series of prints based on the theme of memory. There will also be a typewriter and rubber stamps on hand to add narrative content to the prints. You might like to bring photographs or personal ephemera for reference purposes and to use as a starting point. This event is suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers and all materials are provided.
The workshop is led by Penny Grist, printmaking lecturer at Bath Spa University. She has exhibited her prints in many exhibitions, especially in the South West and has recently returned from an Erasmus exchange to Stockholm, where she worked in the printmaking studios at The Royal Institute of Art.
Tickets are £90 and include lunch at the Roth Bar & Grill.
