Join us for a special Family Saturday celebrating the exhibition ‘The Land We Live In – The Land We Left Behind’, where we will be screening the all-time classic ‘Watership Down’. Based on Richard Adams’ acclaimed novel, Martin Rosen’s animated film tells of the adventures of Hazel (voiced by John Hurt), Fiver (Richard Briers) and a group of rabbits in search of a new warren. Following the screening, families will take part in creative activities inspired by the themes of the film, including making rabbit shadow puppets.
The film ‘Watership Down’ sears itself on the imagination like no other, and includes some very emotional scenes. With parental guidance, we recommend this as viewing for children aged 7 – 13 years (and adults who love a good story). This is a free event, however in order to avoid disappointment advanced booking is recommended.
To book a place please email education@hauserwirth.com or call 01749 814060
This screening is organised in conjunction with local community interest company Where West Begins.
